29 Jul 2025

Over 450 people attended a series of in-person and online events to learn more about plans to introduce the new Queen Elizabeth King’s Lynn Hospital.

Over the last couple of months, the New QEH Team presented plans of the new state-of-the-art hospital to members of the public. The events allowed the public the opportunity to hear from specialists, to see concept designs of the new hospital, and to ask questions.

The new hospital is set to open in 2032 as it is one of the hospitals under priority under the New Hospital Programme, where the concepts have been created by specialists in healthcare design using the national Hospital 2.0 blueprint.

The building will feature a central communication spine, which will provide easy access to all parts of the hospital.

Maternity, Theatres, Emergency Care, and Diagnostics will be co-located in a dedicated central podium to allow for faster care.

Further events will be held early next year to update people on more detailed designs and plans.

Construction of the new hospital is due to start in 2028.
